FAQ
Metro West Soccer Club Soccer is a community oriented organization whose purpose is to develop individual and team soccer players. The difference between "club soccer" and "rec soccer" is that club soccer players pay a professional coach and make a team through a try out process. Playing time is not guaranteed and trophies are earned, not given for participation.
Select Soccer is club soccer for players age U11 and older. Players sign a one year contract and can only practice and play with one team during that year.
Academy Soccer is competitive soccer for recreational players. For players age U10 and younger, they must register as a recreational player through a recreational organization. Then a group of these players can play in a competitive leagues where a coach chooses the roster for the day. Rosters are flexible and players can play with more than one team. Players can play on their rec team and on an academy team at the same time.
For Academy aged players (U10 and younger) just reach out to us and we can get you in contact with the coach of the correct team. Often teams have open spots and players can be added at any time if they meet the competitive level requirements of the team.
For Select ages players (U11 and older) reach out to us so we can see if a team your ages needs players. If so, you can join anytime.
Once a team's roster is full, however, you must come to open practices and tryouts which generally last from May 15 through June 30. Players will sign contracts in June and July of each year.
